God is our shield and covenant keeper. Our appropriate response is to believe his promises and obey him as an expression of that faith.
God’s covenant with Noah is a re-creation story with echoes of Eden throughout it. In it, God reestablishes common grace, the cultural mandate, and creation’s preservation.
At creation, the relationship between God and mankind was defined by a covenant of works which required personal and perfect obedience to the law of God. Adam broke that covenant, but Christ fulfilled it.
From the beginning, within the unity of our common humanity, there is an intentional and beautiful variety. Mankind is made in God’s image as both male and female.
What does it mean to be human? Part of the Bible’s answer includes this: Human beings are made in the image of God.
Why is life so bad? What happened to paradise? Well, Genesis 3 gives the answer, describing 4 main things: 1) the rebellion, 2) the consequences, 3) the judgment, and 4) the promise.
How did we get here? God's creative work has meaning for us, his creation.
