Understanding mental health is difficult due to the various definitions that we have. We’ll define mental health and see how scripture points us to Christ for hope in the midst of hardship.
Have you felt lonely even in the middle of an event with your closest friends? You ask yourself, “Does anybody know me or even desire to know me?” “I feel so alone.” Many Psalmists have experienced similar feelings and point to the One who is always with us!
Life is not going as we planned or desire, we question and doubt God, we become overcome with fear. Does God understand or does He even care? Psalm 73 will provide help as we address our anxious thoughts.
Depression is challenging for many of us and we experience depression in a variety of ways. Even in the Bible we see people of faith dealing with depression. The psalmist in Psalm 88 is one such believer. How does this what seems like a hopeless prayer give us hope?
